I prefer my posts to fall in the 4-6+ paragraph range. When doubling, I expect equal attention be given to both/all characters, and I really don't like to scale down my posts - I'm not good at it and I like the level of detail that a few meaty paragraphs gives. I can do novella style, but it takes me forever and to be quite honest, it stresses me out horribly so I try to stay away from doing them anymore.
I am perfectly fine doubling, playing an agreed-upon canon character for your original so long as one is being played for me as well, though I'll be blunt and let you know that doubling is not a must for me. I'm perfectly happy playing a single character, though I default to playing female characters. So please don't come to me and ask for me to play a man to your lady - I in all likelihood will not do it. Slightly less rarely will I agree to play a man opposite your man, but I'm mostly burnt out on m//, so please don't be offended if I decline; it would probably have to be a fandom pair that I ship.
I am more than open to playing canon and/or original characters for fandoms, but depending on which fandom it is and what we decide for the plot, we may play one type exclusively; for right now, I'm mostly craving canon/OC, though you might talk me into canon/canon or OC/OC. I'm perfectly happy with het, femmeslash, & male slash - in that order at the moment; it may take a little coercion for me to play male slash at the moment, just to let you know. I have no issue with non-binary characters either.
I really, really like romance in role-plays; chances are, that's one of my main aims for the RP, though that's not to say it can't include an overarching plot.
If you suspect your e-mail malfunctioned or that mine has, feel free to shoot me another e-mail and ask! If I've taken a long while to get back to you (days or more - not minutes or hours), feel free to ask what's going on; I don't mind the occasional nudge to get things done, just don't pester me every hour asking for a reply.
I role-play only via e-mail: this is non-negotiable (I forget about forums and I feel too pressured over IMs); however, I do like to chat OOC and plot over IMs. If this interests you, please let me know when you e-mail me and I'll give you my username (I have Skype).
As for starting the role-play, I'm pretty flexible; depending on how many other RPs I have, I may volunteer or I may ask you to start. It really just depends!
I won't lie - I've disappeared on partners in the past, but I hardly ever receive inquiries after the fact. If I suddenly stop answering or replying, please feel free to ask me what's going on. In the same vein, if you're not happy with the RP or want to change something, please let me know! I always try to be accommodating!
9. If you ignore my rules and then e-mail me asking a question I've already answered above, I will refer you here rather unhappily. Please have a little common courtesy and we'll get along swimmingly! :)
